Diamonds are the main currency in 99 Nights in the Forest, and you can spend them on new classes, rerolls, or even offerings from the Sketchy Salesman.
There are multiple ways to get them without spending any real money, and most methods require a mix of luck and skill. Let's start off with the easiest method, which you can immediately try at the lobby.
Method #1. Using Codes
Whether you're new to the game or are already flexing hundreds of days survived, you can try using codes to get a few free diamonds. The developers occasionally release new codes during events, so always keep an eye out for them.

Method #2. Complete Daily Quests
At the back of the lobby area is the Daily Quests board, which will offer you three different tasks to complete in exchange for 5 diamonds each. The three tasks on this board will reset every day, and they are unique for each player.
To reveal your daily tasks, simply walk up to the machine and interact with it. Tasks can range from something easy like "Buy a Box of Seeds from the Fairy" to a difficult one like "Defeat the Cultist King".

Method #3. Reach Day 99
Playing through a run normally and reaching a certain number of days can also get you up to 5 diamonds total. Currently, you can earn diamonds by reaching the following milestones:
Days | Reward | Reward (Hard Mode) |
|---|---|---|
50 | 2 diamonds | 4 diamonds |
99 | 3 diamonds | 8 diamonds |
Skilled players can speed this up by rushing all the beds and rescuing the children ASAP, which can lead to a full 99-day win in just around 60-70 minutes.
Method #4. Completing Badges
While they won't provide an infinite supply, finishing all of the badges in the base game can get you almost 200 diamonds for free. Some of these require a lot of time and effort to complete, so don't expect to get them all done in one day.
To check which badges you've completed and claim any pending rewards, simply click the medal icon on the left side of the screen while standing in the lobby:

Some events, such as Valentines and Halloween, may also have extra limited-time badges that reward you with diamonds.
Method #5. Finding Diamonds In-Game
There are a handful of ways to find diamonds during a run, and it's completely possible to grind them if you have the patience to do so. Here's how you get them in-game:
- Clearing Cultist Strongholds - Clearing the Cultist Stronghold will reward each player with a Diamond Chest that contains 5 diamonds. The Stronghold refreshes every 20 minutes with increasing difficulty.
- Opening Chests - Most of the chests in the game have a chance of dropping a single diamond instead of an item.
- Update Parties - Whenever a new update drops, there's a chance that the developers do an "update party". It's a temporary game mode wherein the devs will let you experience unintended game mechanics and give participating players up to 20 or more free diamonds.
