Stingers in Bee Swarm Simulator have varying uses, including crafting some endgame tools and unlocking the Vicious Bee (one of the best bees for some hives), so you're very likely going to be collecting these throughout early to late-game depending on your setup.
In this guide, we'll go over everything you need to know about Stingers, from how to get them and where they're used.
How to Get Stingers
There are multiple ways to get Stingers, and we'll start with the one that's considered the fastest and work our way down to the other methods.
Method #1. Killing Rogue Vicious Bees
Rogue Vicious Bees are guaranteed to drop stingers whenever they are defeated, and this method is generally the fastest one due to how you can actively hunt them by hopping servers.
This mini boss has a chance to spawn in the server whenever nighttime starts. It can appear in the following fields (listed in unlock order):
Field Name | Bees Required to Access | Stingers Dropped |
|---|---|---|
Clover Field | None | 1 |
Spider Field | 5 | 1-2 |
Cactus Field | 15 | 2-3 |
Rose Field | 15 | 2-3 |
Mountain Top Field | 25 | 2-3 |
Pepper Patch | 35 | 3-4 |
NOTE: You get 5 additional Stingers for your first kill of the day. This bonus has a 22-hour cooldown.
How to Find Rogue Vicious Bees
To find Rogue Vicious Bees, keep an eye out for a spike sticking out of the field. It's easy to miss, so make sure to check the whole area.

Once you touch the spike, a hostile Vicious Bee will spawn beside you. Defeat it to claim some hard-earned Stingers!
If the spike is gold, the Vicious Bee is Gifted. These are harder to fight, but they drop more Stingers than normal!

Method #2. Killing Respawning Mobs
The Spider and Scorpion have a small chance of dropping a varying amount of Stingers, and since they respawn, they can be a decent avenue for farming if you aren't in a rush to get more.
This method is significantly slower than hunting Rogue Vicious Bees, but it also requires much less active effort since you can't even really server hop to speed up this specific grind.

Other Ways - Miscellaneous Slow Methods
There are many other ways to get Stingers, but the vast majority of them are either too slow to be consistent farms or one-time rewards from certain milestones. Here is a quick list of them:
Method | Stingers Rewarded | Repeatable? |
|---|---|---|
Sticker Stack Reward | Varies (3-10) | No |
Capturing Commando Chicks | Varies (1-10) | No |
Stinger Shop | 1 per 10 Tickets | Yes |
Killing Rage/Armored Aphids | Varies | Yes |
Cactus Field Leaves | Varies | Yes |
Quests from certain NPCs | Varies | No |
Planters | Varies (Multiple-week cooldown per harvest) | Yes |
What To Do With Stingers
Unlocking the Vicious Bee
The main reason you'd want to get Stingers is to unlock the Vicious Bee, which requires a total of 250 Stingers to unlock. You can redeem an egg for it between the Spider and Strawberry Fields.

Boosting Your Attack
Stingers can be used to get a 1.5x Bee Attack buff for half a minute. Early game newbies will definitely not want to use them for this purpose, but some endgame players might find this helpful.
Crafting Certain Items
Finally, there are a lot of items that require Stingers as a crafting ingredient. This includes good items like the Tide Popper, Dark Scythe, and Demon Mask. Here's a full list of items that need them:
