In Fisch, the Ancient Archives is an area located in the Ancient Isle which features a crafting station. It also features 6 different types of fish, including the Diplurus, Phanerorhynchus, and the Lepidotes.
Before accessing the Ancient Archives, you'll need to ensure you have 4 players total.
Step 1: Obtain All 4 Fragments
First, you'll need to obtain all 4 Fragments (so that each player has one of them). To find out how to obtain the Fragments, check out our guide here.
Step 2: Wait for an Eclipse Event
Next, you'll need to wait for an Eclipse Event to occur, which can rarely happen at the start of daytime cycles. Alternatively, you can use an Eclipse Totem (which costs 250,000C$) to start one.
Step 3: Head to the Cave at Ancient Isle
Once you've obtained all 4 Fragments and an Eclipse event is taking place, you'll then need to head to the cave at the Ancient Isle.
To locate the cave, you'll need to head to the Ancient Isle, and then into the hidden cave found behind this waterfall:
Once you're inside the cave, you'll need to walk up to this post:
Next, you'll need to press the E
key to interact with the post, and use a rope to climb down the hole (all 4 of you will need to do this).
Step 4: Place the Fragments
Next, you'll need to place each Fragment on the correct totem in the cave.
To figure out which totem corresponds to which Fragment, you'll simply need to color match it. For example, the Solar Fragment will need to be placed on this totem:
To place each totem, you'll need to equip one, and then press the E
key on the corresponding totem. You'll then need each player to stand on the pressure plate in front of each totem.
Once all totems have been placed and 4 players are standing on the pressure plates, the vault door to the Ancient Archives will open, which looks like this:
Next, you'll simply need to walk through the vault door to access the Ancient Archives!
