In Fisch, Whale Migrations are a server event that spawns in 2 Blue Whales which can then be caught by players. It is currently the only event that allows players to catch Blue Whales, and also has a 20% chance of spawning a Moby - a secret fish that has a maximum weight of 420,000 KG.
How to Find Whale Migrations
Whale Migrations have a 20% chance of spawning every time an in-game rain cycle begins. To improve the chances of spawning a Whale Migration, you can use Tempest Totems (which cause the rain cycle to start) and Windset Totems (which cause the rain cycle to stop) to start and stop the rain cycle.
When a Whale Migration starts, the following message will appear at the top of your screen:
After the above message appears, the Whale Migration will last for 15 minutes (or until both Whales have been caught).
The location of Whale Migrations varies, however they can be found by looking for the blue arrows found on the ocean's surface (which indicate the direction of the Whale Migration). The arrows will look like this:
You'll then need to follow the arrows to find the Whale Migration containing the two Whales, which will look like this:
In the above screenshot, a Fish Radar is being used to improve the visibility of the area where the Whales can be caught.
You'll then need to cast your line into the area nearby to the Whales to try and catch one!
