There are 20 different types of bait to choose from in Fisch, with each having their own positive and negative side effects when used. The Truffle Worm is no different - this type of bait has the highest amount of Preferred Luck in the game for a piece of bait (with a count of 300), however does also have a -10 Lure Speed. Truffle Worms are particularly useful if you're looking to catch the Nessie fish during the FischFright event.
There are currently three methods of obtaining Truffle Worms in Fisch:
- Opening Volcanic Geodes
- Opening Coral Geodes
- Opening Treasure Chests
Method 1: Opening Volcanic Geodes
Opening a Volcanic Geode has a 20% chance of giving you a Truffle Worm.
There are currently two methods of obtaining Volcanic Geodes in Fisch:
- Purchasing them from Travelling Merchants
- Catching them when fishing in the Roslit Volcano
Travelling Merchants sell Volcanic Geodes for 600C$, however do not always have them in stock. If you're not sure where to find Travelling Merchants, check out our bait guide here where we go through the different locations he can spawn at.
If you're looking to catch Volcanic Geodes when fishing, you'll first need to obtain a Magma Rod which will allow you to fish in lava. A guide on how to obtain one can be found here. Next, you'll need to head to the Roslit Volcano near Roslit Bay. The entrance to the volcano will look like this:
Once inside, you'll want to head to the lava pool and use your Magma Rod to start fishing anywhere inside it:
Once you've obtained a Volcanic Geode, all you'll need to do is open it to have a 20% chance of receiving a Truffle Worm!
Method 2: Opening Coral Geodes
Coral Geodes are only obtainable through fishing in the Desolate Deep, which can be found behind Sunstone Island. You'll need to head to the coordinates (-791, 142, -3102.8) and dive beneath the water to find the cave where Coral Geodes can be caught. Do note for this method you will need either Basic or Advanced Diving Gear.
Once you've obtained a Coral Geode, all you'll need to do is open it to have a chance of receiving a Truffle Worm!
Method 3: Opening Treasure Chests
Opening a Treasure Chest has a 10% chance of giving you a Truffle Worm.
Treasure Chests can only be found using Treasure Maps. Treasure Maps have a 1/160 chance of being caught when fishing normally. Once the Treasure Map has been obtained, you'll need to talk to Jack Marrow at Forsaken Shores to repair it. To find him, first head to Forsaken Shores, which looks like this:
You'll then need to head into the eyes of the skull rock, using the access ladders found at the left:
Once inside the skull, you'll find Jack Marrow, who looks like this:
Talking with him will give you the option to repair your Treasure Map, at a cost of 250C$.
Once your map has been repaired, it will display the coordinates of your Treasure Chest, which you'll need to track down using your GPS. After tracking it down, you'll then need to open the Chest, which will have a 10% chance of dropping a Truffle Worm!
