Fighting styles are among one of the many aspects of your Gakuran character that you can reroll, and they vary so wildly that good styles can easily outclass bad ones.

S Tier - The Best Styles
These styles are among the very best in the game right now, and you'll get so much mileage out of them even if you aren't particularly good at the game's fighting system.
Fighting Style | Rarity | Reason for Rating |
|---|---|---|
Ali | ??? (Secret) | Extremely fast fighting style that is hard to beat, even in the hands of the average player. |
Wing Chun | ??? (Secret) | Fast attacks, high chip damage, and a very punishing counter that rewards defensive playstyles. |
Kure | Legendary | Hits fast and hard, decent chip damage, and it has parry removal. |
A Tier - Great Styles
The fighting styles in this tier are really good as well, and they only slightly miss out on being at the top tier due to how the best ones have even better perks. Good players can push these to S tier power.
Fighting Style | Rarity | Reason for Rating |
|---|---|---|
Hakari | Legendary | Really strong damage, but a bit too dependent on your character's height. Tall people will find it a bit inconsistent. |
Striker | Epic | Strong and unpredictable, but can be countered easily once people figure out how to play around its "randomness". |
Wrestling | Legendary | Huge damage potential, but very (and predictably) reliant on successfully grabbing enemies. |
B Tier - Decent to Use
These fighting styles are decent, and have the potential to be really good if you choose to take the time to master them and play around their weaknesses.
Fighting Style | Rarity | Reason for Rating |
|---|---|---|
Boxing | Epic | Incredibly aggressive and best used with short characters. Heavily rewards good defense, but also loses handily to good defensive players. |
Capoeira | Legendary | Long attack range, but for those who depend solely on its reach, it can quickly lose if the other player gets close. |
C Tier - Pretty Okay Styles
The styles in this tier aren't bad by any means, but they require a lot of experience to properly use, especially against good players.
Fighting Style | Rarity | Reason for Rating |
|---|---|---|
Karate | Uncommon | Strong defense-focused style that can hit hard, but is generally outclassed by rarer styles. |
Muay Thai | Uncommon | Hard to use and master, but it can be very strong for those who are dedicated to maining it. |
D Tier - Avoid Using These
These ones are straight up bad or too plain and easy to beat. It's highly recommended to get literally any other style if you want to win.

Fighting Style | Rarity | Reason for Rating |
|---|---|---|
Basic | Common | Default fighting style. It doesn't really stand out and is very basic, true to its name. |
Slugger | Uncommon | Pathetically slow fighting style and possibly even worse than basic. |
