Insect Breathing is sometimes seen as one of the best breathing styles in Slayers 2 if used by a skilled player, and it features some quick and devastating attacks that can easily overwhelm someone who is unprepared.
If you're interested in unlocking this breathing style, this guide will show you exactly where to go to find its trainer, how to complete the quest to get it, and what its moveset is capable of.
You must be at least level 25 to learn this breathing style!
Insect Breathing Trainer's Location
The Insect Breathing trainer is found in the Butterfly Estate. Once you make it to the spawn crystal in the estate, climb the building behind it and make your way to the other side of the roof.
As you round the corner of the rooftop, you'll find Insect Trainer Shinora waiting by the wall.
Insect Breathing Requirements
Before you can start your training, Insect Trainer Shinora will ask for the following resources:
- 3,500 Wen - Grind repeatable quests until you have enough
- 3 Beast Cores - Dropped by Beast Born Demons in Mistfall Harbor
- 15 Demon Horns - Best farmed from High Demons or Hoyuzo Subordinates
The Insect Breathing Training Quest
Once you have all the requirements ready, you can start the Insect Breathing Training quest from Shinora. She will ask you to do the following in the order they're shown:
- Meditate - Click whenever the yellow line is over the blue bar, which will change in size throughout the minigame.
- Aim Training - Click every target that pops up on the board.
- Cup Training - A ball is placed in one of three cups, then they are shuffled. Pick the cup with the ball enough times until you win.
- Push ups - Circles will show up on the screen. Click each of them whenever their inner ring is touching or close to their outer ring.
- Boulder Split - Bars will appear on the screen. Swipe the gray circle to the green circle for each one that appears.
- Defeat the Insect Trainee
All these tasks except the final one are minigames done in the Butterfly Estate, which is conveniently the same spot where your trainer is located. Simply do them all in order before searching for the Insect Trainee.
Once you are done with all the minigames, head just outside the main gate of the Butterfly Estate. The Insect Trainee will be right there, so simply defeat them to obtain the Insect Breathing Style.
Upon defeating the Insect Trainee, you can now view the Insect Breathing branch in your Skill Tree, allowing you to work towards unlocking its abilities.
Insect Breathing Abilities
Here are all the abilities included with Insect Breathing:

Fluttering Sting | C | The user leaps into the air and latches onto the target on contact, triggering a brief cutscene move that deals damage. |
Hundred-Legged Zigzag | V | When held, you character glides across the ground until you hit an enemy, stabbing them for a lot of damage. |
Illusory Light | B | A cutscene ultimate where your character leaps high into the air before crashing down to deliver a powerful stabbing attack that causes shockwaves on the ground. |
