All Axes in Lumber Tycoon 2 - How to Get & Tier List

Axes are your main tools in Lumber Tycoon 2, and you'll need to use the best one that you can get if you want to be as efficient as possible.

To help you find the right axe for your needs, we'll show you where to get every obtainable axe in the game and rank them from the best to the worst.

This will only cover OBTAINABLE axes. We'll add a separate table for unobtainable ones further below

How to Get the Rukiryaxe

The Rukiryaxe is the best obtainable axe in the game that's available all year round. The quest to retrieve it is relatively easy, but requires a few obtuse steps and at least $7000+ cash ready.

With your money ready, buy the following items:

Once you have all of the items above, head to the boulders blocking the snow area on the main island. Use the dynamite beside it to clear the way.

NOTE: It's entirely possible that this is already cleared when you join a server. If the way is already open, just pass through it and keep the dynamite for later use.

In the snow area, hug the right wall until you reach the very end, where you'll see a very faded red eagle icon near a tree spawn. Here's what the red eagle looks like:

Under it is a hatch that you can interact with. If you don't see it, move around until you see an "Open hatch" option on the bottom left corner of the screen.

You can also tilt your camera down to peek inside the snow, though this is not as reliable as simply checking nearby.

Drop the Light Bulb, Bag of Sand, and Can of Worms down the hatch, then jump right in. You'll find yourself in a secret room with three NPCs sat around a table.

The final thing you need to do is to place the three items on the correct plates. The order is as follows:

• Left: Can of Worms
• Center: Bag of Sand
• Right: Light Bulb

Once you place all three items in the correct order, the Rukiryaxe will descend from a hole in the ceiling. Pick it up to claim your very own Rukiryaxe!

How to Get the End Times Axe

The End Times Axe is acquired the exact same way as the Rukiryaxe, so simply follow the steps above. One thing to note, however, is that it is only obtainable during Halloween.

You'll know that it's officially Halloween in the game if the map looks desaturated and full of dead trees. This automatically occurs on October 31, though it is unclear which time zone it starts.

Once the Halloween/End Times event is active, doing the Rukiryaxe steps will spawn an End Times Axe instead of the Rukiryaxe.

All Unobtainable/Seasonal Axes

These axes are ones that only appeared during specific holiday events or were available for a limited time due to varying reasons. You may be able to obtain some of these via trading with other players.
