How to Get the Volcanic Egg in Ride A Pet - Everything You Need to Know

The Volcanic Egg is a special type of Ethereal Egg in Ride A Pet, as it requires you to do a special minigame before you can take it back to your ranch. In this guide, we'll be showing you everything you need to know in order to secure a Volcanic Egg of your own.

How to Enter the Volcano

Once you see the server announcement that the Volcanic Egg has spawned, make your way to the volcano island far across the beach zone.

You must have a flying mount if you want to get this egg. A Volted Phoenix is the bare minimum.

On the right side of the volcano, you'll find a small entrance that you can fly into:

Make sure to keep track of the path. Later, you'll need to go through it in reverse while under a short timer!

Once inside the volcano, there are multiple paths you can take. We'll be taking shortcuts along the way, so as soon as you enter, take a right to go down into the hole.

Upon going down, you'll see a bunch of blue crystals up ahead. Ignore the path with the crystals and enter the little cubby to the right, which will have another hole.

Proceed through the lava-filled corridor until you find yet another fork in the path. This time, take a left to proceed lower into the volcano's core.

Follow the path until you start seeing red crystals. You'll eventually reach one last fork in the path, where you must take a right into the room that appears to be full of lava.

In this room, you'll find the Volcanic Egg beside a sleeping dragon. Before picking up the egg, make sure that you're ready to run as fast as possible.

Escaping the Guardian

As soon as you pick up the egg, you'll be on a 20-second timer to escape the volcano and the dragon will start chasing you. Run back to the exit the moment you grab the egg to ensure your survival.

Backtrack through the same path you took to get in. If you reach the exit before the timer runs out, you'll start a new, slightly longer timer to run back to your ranch, like you would normally do with any other egg.

IMPORTANT: Once you leave the volcano, the timer will now be for the egg breaking. We can confirm that it WILL break if you fail to reach your plot in time.

If you reach your ranch in time, you'll secure the Volcanic Egg in your inventory!

A few things to keep in mind for this minigame:

• If the dragon touches you, the egg returns and you're knocked down for a brief moment.
• If you run out of time before leaving the volcano, the egg automatically returns.
• Dropping the egg will pause the escape timer, but not reset it.
