While Steal An Egg is centered around thieving from random creatures, that doesn't mean you can't help other players complete their index. Giving eggs (and consequently, pets) to other players only requires a bit of coordination so that everything goes smoothly.
To help you boost your friends or even strangers by getting them to hatch rarer eggs to bump up their collection, we'll be sharing some ways you can gift eggs to other players without direct trading.
Sharing Pets/Eggs With Other Players
Method #1. Egg Drops
This method only works for stolen eggs. Once you've crossed the goal line, you can no longer drop it outside!
In order to gift pets to other players, you can simply drop eggs beside the border in spawn. Once you've stolen an egg, you can choose to manually drop it by clicking on the red Drop button on the bottom of your screen:
If you want to gift a player any egg from the outside, especially if they don't have access to it, you can leave it by the red safe zone line. Drop it just a few steps away from the safe zone.
Put it as close as possible without touching or going over the line yourself, as this will add the egg to your inventory instead.
A Warning For Late-Game Pets
By placing an egg near the safe zone, any player in the server is free to take and keep it by crossing into the safe zone. You can drop any egg near the line as long as it's still considered stolen.
Make sure that the egg is as close as possible to the safe zone, because the boss it's tied to will chase the player holding the egg. If you're sharing late-game pets to new players, drop its egg extremely close so that they can safely get it.
Be careful when gifting eggs from very far zones, as the boss will zoom in at their normal speed, which may still be too fast for the recipient of your stolen egg!
Method #2. Robux Gifting
Alternatively, you can also directly give eggs to other players by buying the featured egg in the store. Click the Shop button on the left side of your screen to view the current featured egg.
Click the gift box button beside the egg package you wish to gift to other players.
Finally, press "Select" beside the name of whichever player you wish to gift eggs to.
IMPORTANT: This will only work between players living in the same region. If you try to gift it to somebody who lives in another country, you'll simply get an error saying: "This gift is unavailable between your pricing regions."
