If you're looking to start earning some extra Robux on the side or just make a quick buck out of rare items in your inventory, then you'll have to learn how to sell items on the Roblox Marketplace.
To help you out, this guide will show you how to sell your limited items or put up your own custom clothes for sale on the Marketplace. We'll also be sharing a few tips on how to price your items and what the average seller can expect to make.
How to Sell Clothes on Roblox
First, to create and sell some custom clothes on the Marketplace, you'll need to go to the Creator Dashboard while logged into your Roblox account.
From there, click the "Creations" tab on the left.

For the purposes of this guide, we'll be focusing on Classic clothing, specifically a simple t-shirt. So, click the Avatar Items tab and then press the "Classics" option under that.
IMPORTANT: There is a specific template you have to follow for every clothing type outside of plain t-shirts. Refer to the official Roblox document on classic clothing to find templates that you can study and modify.

Below, click the option to "Upload Asset".

From here, you have the option to upload any image you want to appear on your custom t-shirt. For other clothing types, you'll have to download and edit an official template from Roblox's site.
Feel free to add whatever you want (subject to Roblox moderation) and type a proper name and description for potential buyers.

Once you're ready, simply click the "Upload" button at the bottom. This process currently costs 80 Robux per upload.

Putting Items Up For Sale
Uploading your clothing item will let you wear it, but this doesn't mean that it's already on sale. To start selling it, first click it on your list of Avatar Items and then make sure that "On Sale" is checked on the upper right corner.

If you scroll further down, you'll see that specific item's current pricing options. Here's what each of these lines mean:
- Current Price Floor - The minimum price of the item. This varies based on the type of item, and it can change at any time.
- Price Configurations - Your own price setting. Amount Above Price Floor is how much more you want to sell it in addition to the price floor, while "Do not price below" ensures that your item is always priced at that minimum amount. For example, you can have your item with a floor price of 5 Robux with an additional 45 Robux above that so that it is sold at 50 Robux (5 + 45).
- Item Price - The price of the item calculated from the current price floor and the amount above it that you set (if any).
- Regional Pricing - This allows Roblox to automatically configure your prices based on where the user is buying it from.

Further down, you'll also find options to "Sell in Marketplace" and "Sell in Experiences". You want both of these checked for maximum reach.

Finally, at the very bottom, you'll see the Publishing Advance fee and the "Publish Item" button. Click "Publish Item" and then confirm your choice by pressing "Pay and Publish" in the window that pops up to pay the advance fee and send your item over for review.
The Publishing Advance fee varies based on the type of item being sold. Some 3D items can cost as high as 1,000+ Robux to publish, but this fee is refunded once your item has earned that amount of Robux.

Once that's done, your item should appear on the marketplace within the next 24 hours once approved.
How to Sell Limited Items
Limiteds are the only tradeable items you can get from the Roblox Marketplace, and you're allowed to resell items officially made by Roblox and certain UGC.
The only way to legally sell or trade these for Robux is through the Marketplace as well, and this includes absurdly expensive items like the coveted Dominus Empyreus.
Requirements to Sell Items
Before you can sell a Limited or Limited U item, you must first have an active Roblox Plus subscription. Also, check if the item you want to sell is not currently being held.
Items that you have recently purchased will be placed in a holding period, so you can't sell them immediately. You can check this by opening the "Owned Items" tab from your item's Details page.

There, you'll see if the item you want to sell is still on hold:

Putting up Items For Sale
In the same "Owned Items" tab, you can also find the Sell button if your item is not on hold. Click it to start setting a price.

Then, type your desired price in the box under "Set Price". The minimum price you can set will depend on the item, but it's worth noting that you only get a cut of the Robux earned.
You'll see an overview of how much Roblox or the creator will get out of your resold item, and the bottom part will show how much you'll actually get:

These cuts will vary, as Roblox can change these values at any time. Generally, expect to see a cut of around 30-50% off the final sale. Once you're ready to sell an item, click the "Sell" button at the bottom to put it on the Marketplace.
Once you confirm your listing, you'll see a notification saying "Successfully placed on sale", and you always have the option to take it off sale if it hasn't been bought yet.

From here, you simply have to wait for your item to be bought by somebody else, then expect to receive Robux within a few days after sale.
