How to Play Roblox Unblocked

Can't access Roblox? Maybe this will help!

Whether you're in school, a library, or even the comfort of your own home, there's a chance that Roblox is blocked for varying reasons, like parental controls or network issues.

Whatever the case, this guide will help you work around this issue and play Roblox without downloading any shady software or signing up for paid services.

It's important to note that if your Roblox is blocked by a parent/guardian or limits placed by your school or boss, the right thing to do is to ask for permission, not try to work around it. This guide is more for those who have limited access due to issues with your device, network, or regional restrictions.

Before you dive in, below a quick summary of methods that we'll go over. You can click on each method to skip straight to it:

Cloud Gaming - Play Roblox Without Downloading It

One straightforward method that you can try is to simply play it on your browser, which you can do using EasyFun, a free cloud gaming solution.

There, create an account by clicking the profile button on the top right corner of the site:

DO NOT download EasyFun. You don't need to install anything for this method!

Once you have an account, search for "Roblox" or scroll through the homepage and click "Play Now" under the Roblox banner:

After clicking play, you'll now be loading into Roblox from your browser. From there, it's highly recommended to use an alt account to ensure your main's safety. While the platform itself is legitimate, adding an extra layer of security is always a good idea.

Important Reminders

Although this method does work, there are some important things to consider if you're going down this route.

1. It's the Mobile Version of Roblox

While solutions like this allow you to play Roblox unblocked without downloading anything, you're going to be limited to a mobile version of the platform. In EasyFun's case, it's essentially an Android emulator that runs off your browser.

Because of this, you're limited to mobile controls that may be too finnicky depending on what game you're playing. A high-action game like Sailor Piece or Blox Fruits is going to be extremely hard to play, while something like Adopt Me would generally be fine.

2. You Have Limited Playtime

You only get 3 hours of playtime for free with this method, and it will continue ticking down as long as Roblox is open on the platform. Even if you aren't playing any games, as long as you still have it open in a tab, you're going to run the timer down.

This resets every day, and you can pause it by simply closing the tab or returning to the homepage.

3. Use An Alt Account

As noted earlier, we highly recommend using an alt account for cloud gaming services like these just to be extra safe. Even if you don't download anything, you're still using an emulator running off somebody else's hardware.

Use a VPN to Bypass Region or ISP Restrictions

If you're experiencing problems with your ISP that prevent you from playing Roblox or you're in a region where it's blocked (e.g. Turkey and Egypt), using a VPN can help.

We recommend trying out the free tiers of VPNs like ProtonVPN and Windscribe, which should work perfectly fine for games that don't require super fast reaction times. You'll have no issues checking your plot in Grow a Garden 2 or playing all sorts of non-PVP games.

Bear in mind that some VPNs, such as Windscribe, do have data limits, though you're unlikely to run out with just Roblox unless you play all day every day or switch games frequently.

Tweak Your DNS Settings

Some routers/modems may have DNS-related restrictions in place that block Roblox, likely due to the ISP itself or whoever set up your internet connection. A quick trick you can try is to simply change your DNS.

The steps will vary based on your operating system and/or device, but here are a couple of examples on how to do it:

How to Change DNS on PC (Windows)

First, open your Settings and navigate to Network & Internet . There, click on either Wi-Fi or Ethernet, depending on how you're connected to the internet.

The Wi-Fi and Ethernet options in Windows' Network & Internet settings menu

Next, scroll down to "DNS server assignment" (this is very likely set to Automatic) and click the Edit button:

The "Edit" button across "DNS server assignment"

Finally, set the top option to "Manual", then type the following under IPv4:

  • Preferred DNS: 8.8.8.8
  • Alternate DNS: 8.8.4.4

In case you were wondering, this makes you use Google's DNS, which is one of the widely used and safest alternatives around.

Then, click "Save" to finish the process.

Once all of that is done, your changes should already have taken effect. If your issue turned out to be a DNS restriction, Roblox should now be unblocked and playable.

How to Change DNS on Mobile (Android & iOS)

Since phones and tablets vary wildly, we'll give you more general instructions as most devices have similar settings. Here are all the steps in order:

  • Step 1 - Open your phone's Settings
  • Step 2 - Go to "Connections" (Android) or "Wi-Fi" (iOS)
  • Step 3 - Go to "More connection settings" (Android) or tap the "i" button beside the Wi-Fi network you're connected to (iOS)
  • Step 4 - Tap "Private DNS" (Android) or "Configure DNS" (iOS)
  • Step 5 - Tap "Private DNS provider hostname" (Android) or "Manual" (iOS)
  • Step 6 - Put 8.8.8.8 in "Enter hostname of DNS provider" (Android) or press "Add Server" and input 8.8.8.8 in the blank text box (iOS)
  • Step 7 - Finally, press Save and that's it, you're all done!
