If you want to save your favorite in-game moments or just take a picture of something cool or funny that's currently happening, you'll need to learn how to take a proper screenshot.
To help you out, we'll quickly go through everything you need to do in order to take Roblox screenshots on PC, consoles, and mobile devices.
How to Take Screenshots on PC (Windows & Mac)
Method #1. Using the "Captures" System
NOTE: Some games don't support this system. This is typically a choice by the game's developer, so you'll have to use other methods.
Alternatively, you can take screenshots with Roblox's built-in Captures system. To do this, first open the menu by clicking on the "More Menu" icon on the upper left corner of the screen:

There, click the Captures button. This will turn on the Captures system, and a new set of buttons will show up on your screen.

The new set of buttons can be dragged around by clicking and holding the eight dots on the bottom. To take a screenshot, click the Capture Screenshot button in the middle:

Taking a screenshot this way will briefly turn off most, if not all UI elements on the screen, saving a clean photo of the current scene. Use this if you want to take scenic screenshots or just need a photo of your character without the UI.
How to Save Captures
Captures are not immediately saved in your regular pictures folder. Instead, you can download them through your gallery in Roblox.
To do this, first click the Roblox icon on the top left corner of the screen.

Then, click the Gallery button up top.

Finally, click to open the Capture you want to save. There, click the Save button on the bottom of the screen, opposite the trash icon.

To find it in your computer, click the "Open in Files" button that will briefly pop up on the top of the screen. This will open the folder containing your newly-saved screenshot.

Roblox Captures Keybind
The default keybind for taking screenshots using Roblox Capture is Alt + 1. This will save an image to your gallery if the game allows Captures.
For videos, you can simply press F12 to start and stop recording.
There is currently no way to change the default keybinds for either of these functions.
Method #2. Using the Print Screen Button (Windows Only)
For the PC version of Roblox, taking screenshots is as simple as pressing the Print Screen (or "Prt Sc") button on your keyboard. This takes a screenshot of your entire game screen, including the UI.
Use this method if you want something quick and unobtrusive, as it won't mess with anything on the screen.
How to Find the Screenshots Folder
You can find your Roblox screenshots folder by opening the Pictures folder on your device.
Simply click the "Open Folder" button on the bottom right corner of the screen. This will appear for a brief moment every time you take a screenshot this way.

Alternatively, you can open your File Explorer and click the Pictures folder on the left, which is pinned by default. There, you'll find a "Roblox" folder containing all of your screenshots taken with the Print Screen button.

Method #3. Capture the Full Screen (Mac Only)
On the Mac version of Roblox, you can take a screenshot of the entire screen by pressing Command + Shift + 3. This will automatically save the photo to your Desktop.
This will take a picture of your entire screen, so you may want to play Roblox on full screen if you're going to use this method.
How to Take Screenshots on Mobile (iOS & Android)
Saving screenshots works the exact same way on both the Android and iOS versions of Roblox. First, tap the Roblox Icon on the upper left corner of the screen:

In the menu that pops up, scroll down and tap Captures. This will add a new set of buttons on your screen, which you can drag around using the eight dots on the edge.

Using the new set of buttons, you can take a screenshot by tapping the button that has a small camera icon on the lower right corner.

To find your screenshots, tap the Roblox Icon on the upper left once more, then scroll down until you find the Gallery.

There, you'll find all of your captures. Tap the one you want to save, then press the download button on the lower left. This will save the image to your phone or tablet's gallery.

How to Take Screenshots on PS5
To take screenshots on PS5, press the Create button on your Dualsense controller. It's the small oval button to the upper right of the D-pad.
This will open a menu with options to take screenshots or record videos. Navigate to the middle button, which is conveniently labeled "Take Screenshot" and press X to take a screenshot.

After doing so, the screenshot will be saved to your console's media gallery. You can access this by navigating to the lower left, which should now be a thumbnail of your latest screenshot.

Press X again to view your recent captures, as well as options to share or view the rest of your media gallery.

How to Take Screenshots on Xbox Series X/S
To take screenshots on an Xbox, press the XBOX button (the glowing "X" on the top middle) of your controller. Then, navigate to the "Capture & share" tab in the guide menu.

From here, just navigate down to the "Capture screenshot" button and press the A button to take a screenshot. In this same menu, you can also scroll down to "Recent captures" to check your screenshot.

Alternatively, you can press the Y button as soon as you open the guide menu to take a quick screenshot. Just remember that you have to be in a game to take screenshots.
How to Take Screenshots in Roblox Studio
To take screenshots in Roblox Studio, first press the View button on the upper left corner of the program:

From here, simply click the Screenshot button to save the current scene. The image will be saved to your computer's default Pictures folder, which is the same one where your print screen images from Roblox are saved.
