FPS is an acronym for frames per second. If that doesn't mean anything to you, here's a quick rundown of what frames are and why how many you see per second are important: your screen, whether it's showing you a video or a game, is just quickly flicking through a sequences of pictures ("frames") very fast. An FPS of 5 would mean that your screen is only showing 5 pictures ("frames") every second, which would look slow and jumpy. An FPS of 60, however, would mean that your screen is showing you 60 pictures every second, which would look very smooth in comparison.
If you're anything like us here at Roblox Den, then you hate it when your FPS isn't high enough and Roblox isn't looking smooth. Thankfully, there is a very easy to access tool within the game that allows you to check your framerate.
To access this, just hit the following keys:
SHIFT
+ F5
After doing so, a display should pop up in the top left of your Roblox window that looks like this:
You can hide the display again by simply pressing SHIFT
+ F5
