Adopt Me: How to Get a Unicorn Pet

In Adopt Me, the Unicorn pet is a pet that was added in June of 2019, and features a green, pink and white color scheme. It can perform a variety of tricks, including roll-over, dance and backflip once full grown. Currently, the Unicorn pet can only be obtained through opening the Retired Egg or through trading.

How to Buy the Retired Egg to Hatch a Unicorn pet

First, you'll need to purchase the VIP game pass, which can be done through visiting the game's store found here. The VIP game pass costs 640 Robux.

Once purchased, launch the Adopt Me game, and head inside the Nursery found on Adoption Island:

Once inside the Nursery, head inside the VIP room (which the VIP game pass now grants you access to):

Next, once you're inside the VIP room, head up to the Retired Egg (shown below) and press the E key to purchase it for 600 Cash:

Next, you'll need to open the Retired Egg which has the chance to hatch a Unicorn pet. As the Unicorn is a Legendary pet (which have a drop chance of 3%), you will likely need to open multiple Retired Eggs in order to obtain one.

How to Trade for the Unicorn Pet

First, find the person you want to trade with and walk up to them. Next, press the E key:

Next, click on the Trade (2) button:

Next, you'll need to wait for the other player to accept your trade request. They'll then need to put their Unicorn pet in their section of the trade menu:

Once they've selected the Unicorn pet and you're happy with the trade, you and the other player will both need to click the Accept button at the bottom of the trade menu:

Once you've both accepted the trade, you'll then find the Unicorn pet in your inventory!
