In Blox Fruits, "A shiver runs down your spine…" is a message that can appear in your chat box and at the top of your screen while you're in the Second Sea. Let's go over exactly what it means and why it's important!
Why "A Shiver Runs Down Your Spine" Appears
Whenever you see this message show up on your screen, this means that the Cursed Captain raid boss has spawned. He's a level 1,325 enemy that spawns on the second floor of the Cursed Ship found in the Second Sea, seen here:
How to Spawn the Cursed Captain
The Cursed Captain spawns roughly every hour, and he'll be waiting beside his office table whenever he spawns. He has over 230K HP, so be prepared for a long fight if you're just around his level.
If you're not in a private server, it's worth checking the second floor to see if the Cursed Captain has spawned even if you haven't seen the message yet. Otherwise, server hopping is the way to go.
It's not worth waiting for him to respawn if you're trying to grind for his drops, as you can get a few kills per hour if you just go to different servers.
The Cursed Captain's Drops
The Cursed Captain drops the following items:
- Red Spikey Coat
- Blue Spikey Coat
- Hellfire Torch
Aside from that, he'll also always drop some Beli and a few Ectoplasm, which you can use to exchange with characters on the Cursed Ship or for crafting/upgrading certain items and fruit.
While the two coats it can drop are far from being the best accessories in Blox Fruits, the potential Hellfire Torch drop is important as that item is used to obtain the Ghoul race.
