In Blox Fruits, the Hellfire Torch is a special item that is needed to get the Ghoul race. In this guide, we'll go over everything you need to know about it, starting with how to get one.
How to Get the Hellfire Torch
To get a Hellfire Torch, you must defeat the Cursed Captain. He is a level 1,350 raid boss that spawns in the Cursed Ship found in the Second Sea. The ship is found just beside the Graveyard Island, and it looks like this:
Before you start grinding the raid boss, you may want to farm 100 Ectoplasm first. This will be very helpful once you actually find a Hellfire Torch.
How to Spawn & Defeat the Cursed Captain
The Cursed Captain can spawn roughly every hour, and his appearance is announced by a server-wide message that says: "A shiver runs down your spine..."
When this message appears, you'll find the Cursed Captain hanging out at his office in the second floor of the ship's interior. He has over 230,000 HP, and it's recommended to use a long-range Fruit or Buddha during the fight if you're going to do it solo.
If he isn't there, try hopping servers. There's a huge chance that he has already spawned in another server but hasn't been fought yet.
Hellfire Torch Drop Chance
The Cursed Captain's drop rates aren't officially published, but independent testing has shown that it has a chance of around 5% per kill. The 2x Boss Drops Chance gamepass helps speed up this grind.
The Hellfire Torch is lost when you die or leave the game. If you manage to get one, make sure to follow the instructions in the next section ASAP!
Where to Bring the Hellfire Torch
The Hellfire Torch can be given to Experimic, who is standing in the middle of the kitchen of the Cursed Ship (first floor):
With the Hellfire Torch on hand and 100 Ectoplasm ready in your inventory, you can speak with Experimic and he'll offer to give you the Ghoul Race. From this point onwards, you can keep re-obtaining the race from him for free.
If you don't have 100 Ectoplasm yet, you can give him the Hellfire Torch first so that you don't have to worry about losing it anymore!
