Races in Sailor Piece can provide massive stat bonuses that turn your character into a one-shotting beast, and you may be surprised to learn that some of the lower rarity ones can be as good or better than the ones supposedly above them.
To help you figure out which races are worth using or keeping in your storage, we've ranked all of them based on how good they are and whether or not they have niche uses.

S Tier - The Best
These races are undoubtedly the best ones in the game by having the best stat boosts possible. One thing you might notice is that we've paired the Secret ones with their Mythical counterparts. This is because they are technically also extremely good before you evolve them.
Race | Rarity | Reason for Rank |
|---|---|---|
Archangel | Secret | Extremely high damage bonuses, extra mobility, lots of luck, and the chance for double drops? This race is amazing overall. |
Reaper | Secret | Extremely high damage bonuses, especially for sword builds. Built-in lifesteal for survivability and a lot of max HP to make you incredibly tanky. |
Luckborn | Mythical | Incredibly good luck boost and high damage bonuses. Versatile race that works for any build and playstyle. |
Angel | Mythical | Really high luck and sword/melee damage. Completely usable even before evolving it. |
Wraith | Mythical | Exceptional sword damage, and it has built-in lifesteal with damage reduction. Very tanky and powerful race even before evolution. |
A Tier - Good Alternatives
While they aren't the absolute best, these races are worth keeping as alternatives to the S Tier ones. The gap between these and the top tier races is very narrow, so feel free to stop rerolling if you get one of these.
Race | Rarity | Reason for Rank |
|---|---|---|
Warlord | Mythical | Basically a melee-centric Wraith. Really good damage for melee users, and the lifesteal + damage reduction combo makes you incredibly tanky. |
Galevorn | Mythical | Another good melee race that's basically just a slight notch down from Warlord. |
Sunborn | Mythical | Good sword-centric race with lifesteal and damage reduction. |
Swordblessed | Mythical | Same as the Sunborn, but it has 5% more total damage bonus, making it a clear upgrade (even if just by a bit). |
Servant | Mythical | Decent damage bonuses for melee builds, and pretty good survivability with its damage reduction and lifesteal. |
Slime | Mythical | Decent race for sword builds. Slightly less damage than the others in the same tier, but completely fine to use if it's what you have. |
Leviathan | Mythical | Same as the Slime, but with 5% less total damage bonus. It's not as tanky as the other Mythical races, but its 5% lifesteal should keep you alive. |
Kitsune | Mythical | Not the best in terms of damage, but it makes up for it by having a whopping 25% luck bonus. Really good for farming normal enemies and weaker bosses. |
Oni | Mythical | Good melee race, though you'll have to pair it with a source of lifesteal as it doesn't have any of its own. |
B Tier - Pretty Good
The races in B Tier aren't amazing, but they're much easier to get while rerolling. Despite their lower rarities, the stats they provide are more than enough to get you by in any bit of content in Sailor Piece.
Mythical races are objectively better, but I can personally confirm you're not gonna struggle with these.
Race | Rarity | Reason for Rank |
|---|---|---|
Vampire | Epic | Decent max HP and damage boost, and it provides insanely good lifesteal that can let you punch way above your level. |
Demon | Epic | Surprisingly good damage and max HP boost for its rarity (almost as much as the weakest legendary). |
Vessel | Legendary | Okay damage and max HP buffs. Gets a decent DPS boost with the Curse King fighting style. |
Limitless | Legendary | Okay damage and max HP buffs. Really good if you're using the Limitless Sorcerer fighting style. |
Player | Legendary | Decent damage and max HP buffs. Solo Hunter gets a small DPS boost if you're using it. |
Shinigami | Legendary | Decent damage buff and some extra max HP as well. Great if you are using Manipulator. |
Hollow | Legendary | Pretty high damage and max HP boost. Extra boost if you're using a Soul Reaper. |
Shadowborn | Legendary | Good alternative to Hollow. Gets an extra boost with the Shadow sword, which is great. |
C Tier - Early Game Buffs
These races aren't necessarily bad, but they are going to be replaced quickly once you start getting more rerolls. You're very likely to get either of these in your first few rerolls, and you should probably keep it if you only have a handful of Race Rerolls (cause you might get Human instead).
Race | Rarity | Reason for Rank |
|---|---|---|
Orc | Rare | Decent bonuses for early game players. You'll likely replace this with either Demon or Vampire very soon. |
Fishman | Uncommon | 15% XP and cash gain is surprisingly good for starters. If you're new, this is completely serviceable. |
D Tier - Very Niche
There's only one race in this tier, and it's... bad.
However, there's a very niche use for it. If you are still in the early game and have limited or no extra rerolls, this class is completely usable for quick navigation.
Race | Rarity | Reason for Rank |
|---|---|---|
Mink | Rare | All it does is give you extra sprint speed and jump height. This may be useful for farming and travel, but replace it ASAP. |
F Tier - Just Bad
These races are just completely useless, and there isn't much else to say about them.
Race | Rarity | Reason for Rank |
|---|---|---|
Skypea | Uncommon | It just gives you 2 extra jumps, which is laughably pointless. |
Human | Common | Default race. It does nothing. |
