Flame Breathing is one of the strongest breathing styles in Slayers 2, especially for players who have rolled the Rengoku clan. It's a solid pick for both PVP and PVE, making it very desirable in general.
To help you unlock this powerful skillset, this guide will show you exactly where you need to go, what quests to complete, and all the requirements you'll need.
As with other breathing styles, you need to be at least level 25 before you can unlock it!
Flame Breathing Trainer's Location
The Flame Breathing Trainer can be found to the south of the Forgotten Ruins, which is directly to the far south of the starting zone, as seen in the map here:
After crossing the long bridge and running past the Rengu boss, you'll come across a house along the road, next to a few stone spikes protruding from the ground.
You'll find Flame Trainer Rengu behind the house, hiding on the lower roof:
Requirements for Flame Breathing
Before you can start the relevant quest chain, you'll need the following materials:
- 6,000 Wen - Grind any repeatable quest if you're short on cash.
- 10 Demon Horns - Dropped by High Demons or Hoyuzo Subordinates (if you're grinding them at day time)
With all of the requirements on hand, speak with Flame Trainer Rengu to start the Flame Breathing Training quest, which requires you to do the following:
- Meditate
- Push ups
- Boulder Split
- Aim Training
- Cup Training
- Defeat the Flame Trainee
All of these except the last objective are done at the Butterfly Estate, which is just a short run away from the starting zone:
After completing the basic training tasks, you must then fight the Flame Trainee mini-boss. You can find his location very close to Flame Trainer Rengu's house, as seen in this map:
Defeat the Flame Trainee and you will immediately receive the Flame Breathing style as a reward.
You can now check your Skill Tree, where you'll find a new branch for the Flame Breathing style and its associated skills.
Flame Breathing Abilities
Here's a full list of abilities that come with the Flame Breathing style:

Unknowing Fire | Z | Dash forward and execute two slashing attacks if you hit an enemy. This launches them into the air. |
Blazing Universe | X | Leap into the air and come crashing down at the target location, dealing damage to enemies near the impact zone. |
Flame Undulation | C | Release a cyclone of fire directly in front of you, dealing damage on contact. |
Flame Tiger | V | Release a flame tiger that bites the first enemy it hits and explodes upon hitting the ground once more. |
Purgatory | B | A cutscene move involving varying flame-based attacks, all ending in a massive slashing move that deals a lot of damage. |
