There are a lot of Breathing Styles you can learn in Slayers 2, but not all of them are built the same. To help you decide which one to main, we've compiled this tier list ranking them all from the best to the worst.

These ratings also take Arena win rates into consideration, not just PVE.

  • S Tier
    • Water
    • Serpent
    • Thunder
  • A Tier
    • Flame
    • Sound
  • B Tier
    • Stone
    • Insect
  • C Tier
    • Wind

S Tier - Peak Power

These styles are currently considered the strongest in the game for both PVE and PVP, and they are heavily favored due to their busted movesets.

Breathing Style

Reason for Rating

Water

Despite being hit by the nerf bat, it's still extremely strong due to its crazy combo potential and crowd control abilities

Serpent

Very strong combo potential and damage output

Thunder

Powerful block break and stun that makes it hard to beat

A Tier - Strong Choices

The styles in this tier are also strong alternatives that only slightly get outclassed by the top picks, though they will still obliterate your enemies if you dedicate time to mastering them.

Breathing Style

Reason for Rating

Flame

Great for PVE and can be really strong in PVP, especially if you have the Rengoku clan for even more damage output

Sound

Also a strong PVE and PVP style, but requires the Uzui clan to reach peak strength

B Tier - Good Options

The B Tier styles are decent, and they can punch above their rating in the right hands. These styles are often outclassed by higher tier ones, but using them won't be an automatic loss.

Breathing Style

Reason for Rating

Stone

While its abilities are pretty mid overall, it's a great choice for players with a defensive playstyle, especially in PVP

Insect

Massive nerfs have made this a significantly weaker style than it used to be on launch, but it's still strong in the right hands

C Tier - Usable at Best

Anything in this tier is considered pretty bad, or at the very least merely usable. You're better off picking something else.

Breathing Style

Reason for Rating

Wind

While not unbearably bad, it is heavily outclassed by other breathing styles, especially in PVP
