Bandages are the most common healing items in 99 Nights in the Forest, and having a lot of them on hand will guarantee not just your survival, but your teammates' as well.

There are multiple ways to get them at the moment, so we'll start off with the simplest method.

Method #1: Finding Them Randomly

Bandages can appear all around the map, whether in buildings, chests, or even sometimes out in the open (albeit rarely). If you're playing solo, you're bound to find a handful of bandages after a few scavenging runs.

Tree stumps, houses, farms, playgrounds, and wooden sheds can have them. Make sure to check the corners or the ground in these places, as the bandage could have been knocked around.

If you want to increase your chances of finding them, look out for some specific types of buildings that are more likely to drop them. These include the following:

Clinics

Clinics are the best place to find free bandages or even medkits. They often spawn in early game areas, so you're likely to find one after upgrading your campfire to around level 3 or higher.

Keep your eyes peeled for red and white buildings with a cross up top:

These buildings almost always have at least a few bandages, especially in the lockers at the back. Check the whole building, including the hospital bed and behind the counter.

Cultist Churches

Cultist Churches can spawn very close to your base, and they are almost always going to have at least a handful of bandages or medkits inside.

Just be ready for a fight if you want to loot churches, as these will always have a group of cultists guarding them.

Method #2: Crafting

After finding and opening the Workshop, pick up all the anvil pieces in the building. Once that's ready, you can start crafting bandages whenever you please.

The only downside to this method is that it requires 2 Bunny Feet and 2 Wolf Pelts. Depending on your class and luck, these can take a while to get.

Method #3: Pick Classes That Have Them

Some classes in 99 Nights in the Forest also start each run with bandages. If you want to have one or two of them right from the beginning, consider picking one of the following classes:

  • Medic - Starts with 2 bandages
  • Support - Starts with 1 bandage
  • Undead - Starts with 1 bandage
