Your level in Fisch is often what will gate your progress in the game, so knowing how to level up quickly will help you unlock a ton of content in no time. In this guide, we'll share the fastest ways to grind XP in the game and what rods you can go for to speed up your progress.
We'll start with some early game suggestions and then progress all the way to endgame methods so that nobody is left behind.
Early to Mid-Game Methods - Fast Grinding
Sunstone Island
As a newer player, one of the best spots to fish in will be Sunstone Island. It's a beginner location that's very close to the starting zone, and it has valuable fish that consequently also makes it one of the best spots for money farming in Fisch.
You'll have an easy time catching Rare and above fish here, which will give a decent chunk of XP compared to other low level areas. There's also a chance to catch an Exotic Tartaruga, which will give you a huge boost in XP.
Everturn Forest
Everturn Forest can be found to the northwest, and it has hostile creatures that may kill you if you aren't careful.
Its bestiary contains a lot of low rarity catches, but it has a high XP rate because even its Uncommon fish give a minimum of over a hundred XP per piece. The Sapflow Eel, for example, gives 230 XP, which is over 2-3x more than most Uncommon fish in the game.
IMPORTANT: The fish in Everturn Forest have a chance to bite, which decreases your current progress while reeling in a fish!
Carrot Garden
The Carrot Garden is a hidden cave within the Mushgrove Swamp. Near the Mushgrove Skin Merchant, you'll find a small carrot with eyes under a tree. The entrance to the Carrot Garden is just behind this tree.
The low rarity fish here are not very good, but with high enough luck, you'll constantly get a lot of Carrot Turtles, Carrot Salmon, and Carrot Snapper. These can go up to 500+ XP a catch.
If you're already stacking a lot of luck and fishing with others, you may get a lot of Carrot Sharks worth over 11K XP each.

Late Game XP Grinding
For late game players, you're going to be fine grinding in most locations as long as you have a really good rod, which is very likely by this point. If you really want to speed up the grind even more, You'll first need the absolute best late game XP-boosting rod.
Best Rod for XP Farming - Pinion's Aria
The Pinion's Aria is one of the best rods in Fisch overall, and that's because it grants a 2.42x XP multiplier from perfect catches, which is almost double the normal amount. It's unmatched in XP farming.
It's incredibly easy to get perfect catches with this rod because of its special mechanic. The Pinion's Aria lets you catch falling musical notes while reeling in a fish, and not missing a single one also counts as a perfect catch.
Make sure to have the Clever (2.25x XP) or Wise (1.2x XP) enchantment on it as well. These are some of the best enchantments in Fisch, and are really good for XP farming.

Since you're spoiled for choice at high levels, here are some locations where there are fairly dense bestiaries that have high rarity fish for the best XP rates:
