The Fabulous Rod is one of the best late-game rods in Fisch due to its high stats, valuable mutation, and strong passive abilities, especially when paired with a Sovereign Enchantment.

To help you obtain the Fabulous Rod, this guide will show you how to start the quest and provide tips to make the arduous process a bit easier to complete.

IMPORTANT: You must be at least level 1,000 to start the questline. If you're still under that, grind some quick EXP using the Great Rod of Oscar or Pinion's Aria with the Clever & Wise enchantments.

How to Start the Fabulous Rod Quest

First, you'll need to speak with the Fabulous Deity, who is found within the Calm Zone of Mariana's Veil.

If you still haven't gained access to that location, our guide on how to catch a Scylla will show you every single step needed to reach this part of Mariana's Veil in great detail. You'll also need this guide for the last quest below.

This NPC is found on the rock bridge directly above where the Ethereal Prism Rod can be purchased. You can use the spikes nearby to climb up and glide to it, or parkour on the rocks around the cave using a Gravity Coil or Velocity Coil.

The Fabulous Deity's location in Fisch

The Fabulous Deity's entire questline revolves around catching a very specific set of fish, typically with Shiny and/or Sparkling modifiers, as well as the Sunken mutation. We'll give you the best rod recommendations for every objective in each quest.

GENERAL TIP: Before you begin, stock up on Sparkling Totems and Rainbow Totems for the Shiny/Sparkling and Rainbow Cluster requirements. Starlight Worm bait will help with the Nova mutation.
